Become an

ATR Official

How to Become an ATR Official:

Step 1.

AASA Officials Licence

Get It Here

All ATR officials are required to hold a current AASA Officials Licence. AASA is our governing body, and this licence is essential for insurance and accreditation purposes. Holding a valid licence ensures you are officially recognised, covered under event insurance, and authorised to perform your role at ATR events. It’s an important requirement that helps keep our events safe, compliant, and professionally run.

For references for your licence, you can put Beth, the event manager and Britt, the boss of ATR.

Beth Gallagher             0493 769 511

Event Manager             beth@tarmacrally.com

Brittany Wilson             0423 338 797

Director                            britt@tarmacrally.com

The ATR Officials Form 2026 is used to collect essential information from our officials ahead of the season. This includes contact details, medical details, and any other key information needed to help us plan and run events smoothly.

Being an Official

As with all other codes of motorsport, the volunteer officials are the lifeblood of events worldwide.

Being an Australian Tarmac Rally (ATR) Official means more than just standing on the side – it’s about being at the heart of the action, ensuring our events run safely, smoothly, and with the excitement that makes tarmac rallying so unique.

ATR Officials are the backbone of our rallies. From documentation, scrutineering, and road closures to managing starts, finishes, SOS points, and controls, every role is vital in bringing the event to life.

Without our dedicated officials, the rally wouldn’t happen.

As an official, you’ll:

  • Experience the thrill of rallying up close, with the best vantage points on course.

  • Play a key role in competitor and spectator safety.

  • Gain new skills and training, with opportunities to grow in different official roles.

  • Join a welcoming community of passionate motorsport lovers.

  • Be recognised as part of the team that makes ATR events possible.

Whether you can commit to a single day or the whole weekend, every contribution makes a difference.

No prior motorsport experience is required – just enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to get involved.

If you’ve ever wanted to get closer to the action, support an incredible motorsport community, and be part of something unforgettable, becoming an ATR Official is your ticket to the rally experience of a lifetime.
